It really was fun... however ..... I started out trying o match fabrics to the * age..(for example row 4 ( age 4 ) has a selvage edge that says [lullabies]. At 19 there is roses fabric ( she got engaged) and 20 is wedding fabric ( married ) then gave up on that idea since i was rushed for this quilt. I decided to do this 3 weeks before her birhday and I was leaving town and it has to be mailed to canada before i left. CAn you relate ? LOL I started pulling fabric off the shelves and it became a flurry of fabric flying everywhere as I just needed a one inch strip of each. In time I had every pieces of fabric off the shelf and on the floor.. picture a 4 ft wide pile of fabric...:) on the floor. Good news is I got to refold them all the next day and it is organized now. !!My mom really loves the quilt.
