I cut one out last night and hope to get started on it tonight. Hope it is not hard as my poor pitiful brain can't handle hard anymore.

GORGEOUS!! I just got my pattern this last week. Did you have any problems making it? When I saw the directions I thought ok Shirley, another complicated pattern., so was it complicated? one person told me that she had a problem with the front pocket and that's all. Your bag is so beautiful, do you want my addy for shipping to me too?? LOL Just kidding... You did a fabulous job and the colors are GREAT TOO!! Shirley/TN. (jigs1354)

And the pink one was for my mom for her May birthday because she always wanted to go to Paris. I'm working on a lime green one for my bff's birthday and moving away next week. I'll post that photo when done. It's my favorite, so I bought more fabric to make a matching one for ME (finally). It'll be great for CA beaches!!! Oh, and I omitted the button and used magnetic snaps instead - everyone is happier to be able to get in and out of the tote more easily and quickly.

Where can I get the pattern for the bag.
    Lowell ;)
Well, I got mine at a quilt show on clearance for $4.50, normally $9.00. But you should be able to find the pattern at your LQS. I just waited for a bargain - was unemployed at the time. If your LQS does not carry it, here is an online link to hundreds of purse patterns -

    http://pursepatterns.com/index.php?m...roducts_id=153

If clicking on this link does not work, copy and paste it. It will take you directly to the Bow Tucks pattern.

It's very helpful to look at the QB photo tutorial when you do your first one. The pattern instructions could be better, imho.

    Good luck.

How did you attach the magnetic snaps so the fabric didn't tear.I have the snaps and am afraid of putting a rip in the purse.

I am also guilty of being addicted to Bow Tucks. I make the minis though but should prob. do the tote size. The most fun is putting the fabrics together.

I've had sev. people want to buy them but want them free. I ck'd Ebay to see what they sell for & the range is $45--$65. I tried to chg. the lowest price but nobody wanted to pay that. Nobody realizes the work that goes into them plus the quality fabrics.

I like all of them but I think the tropical might be my favorite.
