I felt like I was on vacation doing this one compared to the last block! It was great!! Only about 6 hours for me..if that many. I did it like Lesley...did the center portion on the light ground, then attached that to the background. I did add a few more whirlies in embroidery to the center...it looked a bit plain to me.

Very, very pretty, Patti. Love the red fabric in the large hearts. It was nice to work on an easy one for a change, wasn't it?

Thanks Donna, havenīt done embroidery for years so I am enjoying this challenge. the secret is on those rounds to take teeny stitches.

Thanks, I know I do a lot of walking away from the embroidery and go do something else, then I go back to it. I find it quite tiring

Well Patti, I am back to choosing the fabric for the half triīs so canīt take them with me, so at the moment I am cutting out the materials for the next few blocks so that I can take them with me. Will bag them up so I donīt loose those teeny pieces.

I have enough material left for just 2 more triīs,that will be 4 all the same and I plan to get some pink multi, just havenīt found the right one

Will you be able to shop while in Turkey or would they have any fabric stores there that are affordable??

Ah ha now thats a good question, my friend said I could email her about things to buy out there. Funnily enough she has asked for everyone to bring her some british food, cheese, roasted peanuts and I canīt remember what else, they must not be able to get them out there. We can get most things here so that wonīt be difficult. Off to write to her

    Your block is lovely Donna.

Patti, I have been told there is a good choice of fabric and its cheap too. she says her sister stocks up when she goes, so I will have someone to show me the way.

BTW got this camera to download 7X told me to buy a card reader and I found one today so can now download my pics.

Thanks for the nice comments. Everyones' blocks are looking terrific, such a nice array of color choices. I have learned so much working on this project. I should have really done the needle turn, instead of taking the easy way out...LOL
