Airing of the Quilts, Smithville, Tx. November 12, 2011

Took pictures of the quilts and am posting a few of them. Our community members graciously contribute to the event by hanging their quilts out to air. Downtown is lined up with them and vendors selling quilts and quilting supplies.

Wow, some great quilts and a really cool way of showing them off, and taking a tour of the town.

What a fun thing. This is a wonderful thing to do. It must be wonderful to walk and see all that beauty around you. Thank you for sharing.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.

Yes, thanks for sharing. We appreciate it. I found the log cabin with the triangle pieces on the edge interesting. Does it have a name for the pattern?

How cool is that? You must have had a great day and thank you for sharing it with us. Such an "ahhhh moment" to see a quilt hanging from the clothesline, at least for me it is. I get to attend the Pac NW quilt show at our local fairgrounds next weekend or I'd be drooling with envy.
