Here is one i did for my DIL with a large print i did not want to cut up. The white and black are 1 1/2". I started with 2 1/2" x 16 1/2" center, then 3 1/2, 4 1/2, 5 1/2, final one being 6 1/2'. These are the cut sizes i used. If you have enough of the border fabrics i think it would look nice in this pattern I did up.

What a great pattern for a large print. It would even make a neat back for a pieced quilt.

LOL. It was ment to be. Now I have to find a pattern big enough not to destroy the pattern. The only thing I could come up with is a snowball and a four patch. I was just wondering if anyone had any different ideas before I start cutting!
make 12" blocks = nine patches from 41/2 squares) alternate with 12" swirly plain squares.
set on point to make the quilt top dramatic.
You can make the blocks and squares smaller - try folding to see!

For a stack and whack you use the repeat of the fabric design to cut your main fabric. Most of what I have done calls for at least a 6" repeat. If the repeat of the design is alot bigger than that then you will have more waste (good for the scrap collector). This may not make sense if you have never made one or seen the instructions for a s & w!
