Here is my latest completion. A baby quilt using 10 minute block for my DD's SIL's new baby boy. It is backed with a longer pile minkee and I was not 100% pleased with the way the backing looked after quilting (the pile looks like it is "caught" in the quilting stitches). The baby's parents were born and raised in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia so the boats are reminiscent of their roots.

Very Nice -- the backing goes with the front real well. I hear you about the minkee getting grabbed by the stitches, but I think it will work itself out with a few washings.

Great job..I am sure the parents will love the design and the baby will enjoy it. The minkee will make it so soft and warm for him to snuggle under. I sent you a PM about this quilt. Thanks for sharing! crafty_linda_b

Thanks Kimmie,

It is just the 10 minute block (you can find a tutorial here on the board) and my own block placement. I very seldom follow a complete pattern, usually just pick a block I want to try and run with it.

Adorable quilt. Sorry to hear you didn't like how the quilting caught the longer minkee hairs. Just think how cuddly it will be for the baby as he grows and loves being wrapped in it!
