Awe, what a sweet baby quilt. I think it looks good as is, but would also look good with an applique. Good for you to get ahead!

I agree with Gail, some applique will really set it off. I liked someone's idea of waiting until the new baby is born to add it. Then you could make it gender specific; like adding a giant daisy type flower for a girl or a truck or sailboat for a boy. Or even add the baby's name in block letters. Its very cute.

I would definitely do an Elephant, they look gorgeous on baby quilts, great color choice

Hello my friend. Most of my family are avid Alabama Crimson Tide fans and the elephant is the mascot. Thought it was a great idea when someone wrote to wait till after the baby's gender is known. Then I could applique a playful elephant with a houndstooth bow around the neck for a girl or a houndstooth tie for a boy. Great idea.
