Wow, wow, wow!! I never thought of doing a gorgeous quilt for a shade - when it's down you have a colorful work of art on your wall. Oh, I just love it! Are there patterns and instructions for making those?

WOW your "shade" is absolutely stunning  You are very creative and also modest. I can't believe this was as simple as you make it sound. :-D

No offense to anyones taste in things, I personally don't care for MANY of the Bargello quilts I seen "read on, it's not bad", HOWEVER I do love and I mean love yours made into the Roman Shade....wow....wow...wow. The colors are a great combination for this project. I have made patch- work valances to match my quilt and pillow sham. I have made fancy drape swag and flowing pleated drapes for my husbands office. But I do think I need to try this pattern. Thank you so much, I'm so glad you shared this.

I love it! I want to make shades like this for our french doors. The sun shines in and is too bright!

Beautiful! I showed your shade to hubby. He tells me I could do that for the southside widow of the kitchen. so guess I have a future project.....after I do the homework on how to make Roman shades. Love the colors you picked for yours.
