I like #3. Satisfied my need for symmetry!

Barn, I like the 3rd 1 also. It seems to make the center of the quilt pop out and the border recede...which is pleasing...to my eye at least...for what thats worth

For what it is worth - I like the 1st and 3rd border option. The 2nd border is a bit too busy and seems to compete for attention with the quilt top. The 4th border option isn't bad but it almost seems to call for more borders past it.

I can't wait to see what you choose. Whichever it is, it is going to look amazing!

I made my decision and have started getting it together. I had to add 1.25" to the sides so far--so 5/8 on each side. (I made my students figure it out with the seam allowance  ) The top row is on. I need to have enough energy in the evenings after school and chores to think it through. Chores have been double due to ice--horses in all day. I'll post the last picture sometime this coming weekend.

Your encouragement has been awesome. It made up for not being able to talk it over with my grandma. And I thank you. :-)

Barnbum..this quilt is going to be a MASTERPIECE! How creative and gifted you are. Can't wait to see all the installments as the quilt grows. Thanks for sharing.

Barnbum! Will you "get 'er dun!" already??? No, I really mull mine over till I'm satisified too. It's fun watching your "thinking"process and all the different oppions are great. Just make sure you post the finished project after all of this bantering back and forth with everyone. We will all come an' git cha if you don't!! :D
