I really like this quilt! I especially like the color selection for the sashing and borders, and how it shows off the myriad colors of the batiks, rather than competing with them. BEAUTIFUL!

I have just discovered the wonder of batiks -- love the variations among just one piece of fabric. I have braided panels completed in a green/rose/purple stripped batik, but need to fit them into a quilt. I had only one yard initially, so I was able to make six braided panels to put in the quilt.

Your quilt is gorgeous. How many different fabrics did you use? Did you plan the braids?

Great work.

I used a jelly roll. The only plan I have is that I didn't want repeats in a braid. I can't wait to see yours when finished.
