Batik Popsicle Sticks, pieced by my sis, quilted by Christine27

It is a Janome attachment that folds and positions a 2 inch strip for a single layer of binding instead of the usual double. Myhands won't hold up for that much hand sewing. I think Elna has a similar attachment. Their videos helped me a lot.

I have the Janome binder attachmanet. I have played with it, but I need more practice before I feel brave enough to bind a quilt with it. So far a pot holder is the biggest project I have bound. What is your secret to getting the corners to look good?

Practice and pins. I've used the attachment on at least 10 or more projects in the past year so my corners are getting better than they started out. I put one or two long pins in to hold the miter. And if I'm really desperate, I talk to the corner! I tell it to behave! (Whew! I haven't had to talk to the corners for a while! It's a little embarrassing when there's someone there to hear me!)
