I love your quilt. It came out beautiful. I'd keep it inside and the reason why......I burnt myself one time sitting down on a dark towel that had been out in the hot sun for a while. The dark material absorbed the heat and I never thought it could absorb enough to actually put a burn on me. I was lucky. It was only red for a while and didn't blister up. I would make a much lighter colored one to actually take to the beach, or tell your friends to roll the quilt up so that when they want to sit on it, they open it up and the sun hasn't had a chance to heat up the side they want to sit on.
