She *should* be thrilled, the quilt is quite lovely. :D
But I agree with you, as a skilled artisan, doesn't it just irritate that you can't make more than $10 an hour for your work! :evil:

Thanks for all the compliments! I think I will make one for myself. Either this pattern or maybe a triple Irish Chain. I haven't made on of those yet and think it would be pretty in blues and whites.

Your quilt is beautiful and you did a great job with the different blues you selected.
As an asside, I charge a lot more that $4 per hour, plus the fabric is always extra. and then to top it off I charge for the machine quiltiing, even if I do it myself. The last quilt I did was queen sized with two matching pillow shams. I charged $835.
Perhaps the next time you'll charge more.
Remember quilting is a pleasurable past time and we like to give our quilts to those not only that we love but to those who appreciate them and what it takes to make one.
Should you be asked again I hope you will charge more.
