The Featherweights from the Kilbowie,Scotland plant have
the fancy face plate up until the early 1950s,
the USA machines started using the straight lined face plates in about 1947-48.

Check ebay - you can probably find the scroll faceplate there if you really want to bring your beauty back to her original look.

Just so you know, I have seen 1948 versions with the striated plate.
