Absolutely gorgeous appliqued quilt. Yes by all means put a label on it and if you are able make sure that when it needs laundering, that you can either arrange to take it home and launder it yourself or give specific instructions on how it is to be laundered. It would be so sad if it was ruined by a harsh detergent and reckless care.

All the raves about a beautiful quilt and I can't see it. I'm not getting a picture.

It is stunning !!! I am impressed, sometimes the antique quilts don't hold up well, make sure the home is gentle with it. They tend to be very heavy handed with the laundering stage of clothes and bedding. It is very beautiful, and what a keepsake. I myself don't own a vintage quilt, but I keep watching.....

What an awesome quilt ! Just beautiful. I agree though. Really need to sew a label with his name on it and have it cleaned elsewhere . I can see why he wanted to take it.

Oh that IS a treasure! I absolutely love it. Agree with someone above: sew on a label with his name on it so that it doesn't disappear. It's beautiful and should stay in the family.
