    It is a beautiful block. I personally like the combination. I am working on a quilt with black shashing and I am enjoying the way it looks! So call me biased if you wish but I do like your block! :thumbup:

    I used a pattern from Allison Designs called "Crinsom Rambler" - basiclly it's like making a modern wonky star block.

    Wow thanks for all the votes - sounds like black is the winner. I thought of brown but when I put it up to the fabrics it didnt do much for me. My son is suggesting ummm...yellow... he said it's pleasing to the eye and that is why they use it for movie subtitles (uh ok) so I will make one just for kicks and post it.
