Sashing really makes it pop. I like secondary designs also but in this case I'd say a 1 to 2 inch sashing depending how big you want the quilt to be. Great quilt!!

Definitely with the border. I would go with the 2 - 2 1/2" border to really make the stars pop. Great colors!!

I agree a 2 inch border would make the squares pop

Sashing for me too. Borders? Just make them proportional to your blocks is what I've always tried to do.
