The lamp was my Grandmother's. When she passed away that was the only thing I wanted of hers for me to remember her by besides my memories we had together. Something about that lamp I really love. And when I bought this house they had a wall in one of the bedrooms red. I would have never painted a room red but this red was just the right red. Everything I had just fits perfect in that room. Thanks everyone for looking and commenting.

My husband is a carpenter and he installed a hardwood floor in my quilting room. He chose the carpenter's square as the centerpiece of the floor. He used specialty woods such as tiger eye, birds eye maple and zebra wood to get the different colors and make each square appear to be a different pattern. I love my floor and it is always noticed!
