thanks for the answers Shelley I don't know what you changed your mind FROM but you sure ended up with a winner ( we hope!) please show us the other 's quilts when it's all over, that would be especially interesting since everybody started with the same quilt. apples to apples instead of apples to oranges.

I think it's beautiful! You obviously have the ability to 'read' the quilt and hear what is says to you.

We've had the machine two years this September. I lost about 6 months for a severely broken wrist about 5 months into it. It took several more months before that left wrist could use the rulers somewhat reliably.

This quilt is 100% ruler work - there is not one bit of freehand in it. When doing the close line fill in the circle border, I used an arc for the line, a straight ruler down 1/4", back to an arc, back to a straight ruler, and so on. Part of the reason this took so long.

That is wonderful. You are right, the quilting sets it off perfectly. Great job.

I think your work is spectacular. I keep going back to it and just stare. I wish you luck in the competition(s), but I'm thinking that you won't be needing any :). Your work speaks for itself--Clearly a WINNER!!!
