I've got one like that. I tried a different technique in 6 inch sections. It looks kinda...cavepaintinglike? :lol:

Heck, when you're done bind that sucker and take it with you on picnics! Or fourth of july fireworks!

a great first practice piece! I have a feeling a lot of them look like that with quilting on every square inch of that first sandwich! The new lighting stitch regulator is so responsive, I tested it at the MQX. It is the reason I got such a great deal on my Innova. The dealer needed to upgrade to the new SR so I got their demo with the old SR. I am still happy as a clam to have it though!

You will be doing a great job on your own quilts in no time whatsoever! I got mine last summer but didn't start using it in earnest until October/November. The more you do the better you get!

Don't finish it up - when I got my machine and filled up the first practice piece I just laid another piece of fabric on top and started all over again. I think my practice piece had four layers and was so stiff eventually it could have walked! BUT each layer was better than the one before.
