Sometimes these are the best quilts. I finish binding mine and use them for dog blankets. I love it when they are washed and I hang them on the line and remember what I was trying to practice at the time. Ellen

I have done the same thing when I first got my longarm. I practiced on 2 pieces of muslin with batting. When I was finished with the pieces, I cut them into smaller squares and serge around the edges. I then donated them to my vets office for dog and cat beds/blankets. They were definitely apprecated and I did not feel bad "wasting" fabric.

I be sewhappy too, if I could play with you!! How fun that looks!! and what GREAT use of practice fabric -- fill it all in!!! You are doing tremendous!! I am even afraid to start on blocks -- just my reg. machine, no longarm now, and probably not in the future! But I would love, love love to have a frame and a make-it-yourself (oh, ok, DH) frame for my machine.... sigh. . Have fun!!!! I am Green with envy!! :mrgreen:
