    Default Ugly tree skirt

It's not the prettiest tree skirt, but I did it with the fabrics that I had on hand. The next time I will definitely put some solid fabrics in it & not so many prints. Not a big fan of the ruffle either...makes me think of a square dancing skirt I do have a question. The backing called for 1 5/8 of fabric. I cut that size, but I can't figure out how to make the backing fit the skirt. The skirt is too big when I just lay it on my backing fabric & if I would make the backing like I do when I make a quilt it doesn't seem to fit either. Can someone help me & tell me how to make the backing for it?

I like the skirt. If it were red and white it would look like a giant peppermint.

What is the measurement of your tree skirt across the width?

I like it, and the ruffle is one of the most perfect looking ones I've ever seen!

I am trying to think on how to make the back fit. Could you fold the skirt in half (or in fourths), use that as a pattern, cut two (or four pieces) and then sew those together? Allowing for seam allowances, of course. Just trying to do it in my head without the measurements of the skirt may not be a good idea.

I really think the tree skirt is adorable. If you really don't like it, I would be more than happy to give it a home.

Well I don't think it's ugly at all and it looks like it was a lot of work.
