Nice quilt and gorgeous dog. We are going to be getting a second dog soon as my husband is a runner and our doxie is getting a bit old to be running more than 4 miles per day:< He's at the vets as we speak having a few teeth removed. Poor Romeo... Anyway, I love weimeraners. One question about this breed, and it may be an odd question. Do they have a strong doggie smell to them? I've found certain breeds leave your hands stinky and anything they sit or lay on with an odor. Doxies don't have this odor. Whatever breed, or mutt we end up with will have to pass my smell test. I've got a very sensitive nose!

Off to get some quilting done - it's been too long!
ahhh...I bet she's very intelligent.
Had a lab that color and my computer techies were dog trainers and said he was very intelligent, very trainable.
I wish I'd had him long enough to find out about the training.
Your quilt is very nice, and your hubby's new running buddy looks right at home!:-D

I know a lot of dogs have a distinct odor. But if you bathe them occasionally it helps! And my kids used to put some of my husband's cologne on the dogs! That keeps them smelling nice for a long time.

When we got the dog last week, she did have a smell to her, but not anymore! Also, what you feed them can majorly affect their body smells - yes, with the gas problem :)....but also in their coat/fur smells.

If your husband is looking for a running partner, weims have always been great!! My husband has taken ours out the past two mornings and after 3.5 miles, he's ready to quit, but not the dog!! And she will fetch a ball for hours if you'll let her!!

LOVE your picture!! Can't get enough of Colorado!! We live on the west side of Denver, so are within 10 minutes of being up in the mountains! Looking for property with our daughter and son-in-law, though....so we can raise some cattle and have a bigger garden.

What part of Colo are you from? Ever been to the annual quilt shows around the Front Range? Get myself into trouble there every year!! I keep telling my husband I'm investing in my retirement!! :)
