    That was the first log cabin quilt I saw years ago and fell absolutely in love with the design, I too adore civil war reproduction fabrics so have been trying to collect enough to make a bed quilt. Your quilt is fabulous everything about it is awesome.

    I just found a courthouse steps block online to see how it was put together and went from there, you do need a design wall because each block is part of four , when you put four blocks together you have one complete design in the center of them.
