Gorgeous quilt! I love the colors! It also has the illusion of dimension which I also really love.

The Idea of circles just jumped out at me when I saw this. Either a circle in each square of 4 triangles or a circle of the same size with the center being the X.

I've used that stick-on stuff. It does make it easier in that it gives you something to follow, but it's a real PAIN getting all the paper off afterwards! Your quilt is gorgeous!

What a great quilt! I don't know about you, but if it were mine...I would quilt something curvey in repeating "sections" of the quilt. I'm not a fan of just meandering unless I just can't think of anything else to do...or I'm lazy...or I don't have time. But thats just me....I love others done with it. Anyway..I personally would divide it into sections, then draw probably a free flowing feather type design (since I love feathers) and it would give some softness to all the straight lines in the quilt...Great quilt though! It will look great no matter what you do with it!

What are you using for backing fabric. If a solid fabric, maybe you want to fmq from the back side, so you can see where you're going. As for thread color, I'd try some experiments on some samples first, to see what you like. Do you want the thread color to contrast or blend in? I do agree with what someone else said, using a curvy line design since the blocks are all straight lines. Whatever you decide, it should probably be something rather simple so it doesn't take away from the complexity of the pieced blocks.
