Your quilt is lovely and your friend is blessed to have you. My best friend died from cancer 2 years ago and I had made her a quilt that she wanted but sadly never got to enjoy. The anniversary of her passing is coming up and I have been thinking a lot about her besides she would have been upset to know she died on the anniversary of my daughter dying. Anyway your quilting is amazing. Will pray for your friend hope that everything will work out for her.

Beautiful quilt! Could you share how you arranged the 9 patch and how it was cut? 8 love this pattern but have not been able to find the directions. I am sure this will bring comfort to your friend and the c9lors should help brighten her day.

I used this tutorial for an I Spy quilt. As I didn't use any one way prints it was even easier:

I used 88 different colored charm quilt squares (5"), 88 various white and off-white 5" squares, and 22 dark center squares all the same color. Here are a couple pictures I took during the process to show a friend. I did add some strips and 2.5" squares around 2 edges of the pieced top to balance the design. This is also shown in the tutorial. Please post a picture if you make this quilt. Its is so much easier than the final quilt might seem!
