    Contrary Wife

No I'm not calling names, that is the name of the quilt I just finished. The pattern is one of Eleanor Burns in her book "Victory Quilts. I put it out on the line to take pictures and like someone else here, the wind started up. The first one is the front, it's in purple, lavendar and pink, with a floral print that catches the other colors. The second is the back and the last picture shows the quilting up close.

This is a beauty! I love this pattern, too. It was one of the very first ones I learned when I took my first quilting class (back in the stone age... LOL! Wilma Flintstone was in the class with me... LOL!). Thanks for sharing this gem
    with us!

Your colors are great. I like this block. My avatar photo is also Contrary Wife with a different setting. It's a scrappy with Winnie the Pooh and other fabrics for my first grandchild.
Remember the teakettle...it is always up to its neck in hot water, yet it still sings!

I really like the way the pink makes for a secondary design. I've seen that in other quilts and am just mesmerized. A lovely quilt.

    Love the pattern.
Before I speak, let me think first:
Is it true, is it kind and is it necessary. If not, let it be left unsaid.

This is the kind of quilt that I love to do. Not complicated at all, easy color co-ordination. You did an awesome job with yours. Great sewmanship.

Very pretty. I love the colors and the quilting enhances it very nicely.
No matter how tough life is, it sure beats the alternative.
