Both are beautiful. I really love that panel. Did you purchase it recently?

I think it's great for a baby. I read some time ago that baby's can see and appreciate high contrast objects/pictures very early, so this seems very natural for a baby quilt. Go with your first 'answer'...remember how often you changed your first answer on a test because you thought it was wrong? How many times did the original answer turn out to be right?

I learned from someone on this site recently that gray is an increasingly popular color for nurseries. It would not have occurred to me, but it definitely goes well with any other color, and it has a calm, restful feel. Both of your tops (!) would definitely go well in that sort of setting. I think you're ahead of the curve. I can easily see them in a room that has a lot of white and red accents, and because they're more sophisticated than most baby quilts, they would follow the child through later phases of his/her life. I agree with those who want to see the tree as a wall hanging and the twister as a quilt. Nice work!

Young babies see in black and white only at birth so it seems a very logical choice to give them black and white quilts.

I have found that many of the moms of today are not into the sweet baby stuff as my generation was. These would be wonderful for a baby of today
