Yes, they do.

If you would like them to be a little cushy, you can also cut a piece of thin batting. Place the batting under the bottom circle and when you turn them right side out the batting is sandwich in the middle.

I have made them both ways and I never have a problem with glasses tipping.

Everyone will be able to tell which glass is their's when you give them different colored coasters.

I found a pattern online similar to this. The actual template is an old CD. I made a bunch of them out of christmas material last year for my quilting friends. The coasters fit around the wine stems, or you can just set the glass, etc on top of the coasters. they were fun to make. I also made some hot pads out of the same materials to place on the table. They were well received and fun to make. Cutting the circles was a pain, but worth it.

These are addicting to do! And such a great way to use up some of my larger scraps. I made a set of 4 to match the housewarming quilt for my Buyer and tied them up with aribbon. Way too cute.

I like the triangle coasters that you made. I've made the circular and square. Now I'll just have to try the triangle coasters!!!

Talk about when do we sleep - Wolfkitty and I went to the LQS yesterday, she was so much more restrained than I was. Purchased 10 FQ (got two free) amoung other things and was up till - oh late - made 3 sets (4 in a set) of Christmas/Holiday ones.
