    Very thoughtful gift. The disappearing 9-patch looks like you did a lot of work when it is much easier than it looks. Love the color scheme, too. Nothing says love like a quilt.

    beautiful quilt for a lucky friend. the D9P's isn't a pattern that I wanted to make but your color choice and just using 3 colors really makes it appealing to me . Thanks for adding to my "to do" list!! good job :-)

    That is very, very nice and she's going to love it! I hope she enjoys her retirement. Teaching is a very rewarding career, but also exhausting. I know, I taught elementary school for 34 yrs. I have so many fond memories and a few horror stories. I imagine a middle school teacher has some real doozies to tell!
