It'll be great! Lots of HST in that one!

Well, I sent my neice a picture of the quilt design and she seems very hesitant, asked if was red, white and blue or does it have, "all those other colors in it?" So I replied with a picture of all of the fabrics in the collection and that it was mainly those colors with a couple of greens and navy or black. I asked if she wanted ONLY red, white, and blue?

She told me that she like my Patriotic one (pictured here) but I really don't want to make another one and I'm not giving up mine. It's hard to do something when you don't have as much interest in doing it but maybe I can come up with another 3-color design. Only good thing is that I really like the design I have/had planned for her and would do it anyway.

Well, I see why she likes your patriotic quilt. It's beautiful. But I like the one you suggested to her, also. It might be too many HSTs for me to handle, tho. Will be anxious to see it when you finish it.

Ha! She replied that she just wants red, white and blue and that she wants to hand it on the wall. That means that I don't need to make a giant one either. Lots more possibilities with something smaller.

I really like this layout that you've done! When I imagined it without your borders, it seemed "unfinished" to my eye -adding the borders is a great idea! I have to do this often to convert "barely bed-size" patterns to queen or larger, too. Thanks so much for sharing this - can't wait to see the finished quilt!
