So true, that is the impression I got after looking at it lol. I had to tear some more fabrics for more light blocks. I did a bunch of those yesterday. Today I am going to work on the dark blocks some and hopefully I will get to sew a couple rows to show that part of the Tut.

I went looking for more ideas for scraps and string quilts yesterday, I found a great one and will make a new thread when I start that one. In the meantime I found lots of scrap quilts named Chevrons and Zigzag etc and they are on the same order as this one, only instead of having four or five strips in a block, they consisted of only one strip cut on the 60 d angle and they looked lovely too...they had dimension even though they weren't too careful of value, just lots of color.....just check out Pinterest and do a search.

Oh go look at this "Settlers Trail" in this thread.

    http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...n-t224964.html

I usually get a bit distracted when doing a lot of blocks and take a sidestep to do something else. I have already figured out this pattern and am working on the middle right now and writing it down. Three different blocks make up this main block.

I will just do one set and go back to my project at hand and when I get that top done I will make a new thread for this one. Isn't it grand?

I am having my afternoon mocha. This is how I make it. Half cup of brewed coffee (from this morning) and two teaspoons of Nestles instand milk chocolate mix, and fill the rest of the cup with milk and heat.
