I think the colors vibrate. They make me want to go dancing. I'd have to think about the quilting, too. No ideas here.

It's beautiful - I love your colors!

I've quilted a few bargellos for customers - I usually try to divide the quilt up into different sections, then put various fills in each, or sometimes diagonal lines to highlight certain sections.

Here's a photo of one bargello I did. You can see another example on my blog, scroll down to the end of the post - if you click the photo it will open a larger version.

It looks great k!! I saw the WIP thread while I was at work, so couldn't comment, but am home now. Did you do this with the tube method? That is the big drawback for me. I am so against unnecessary or "elective" unsewing, that the only way I would do a bargello is if it were strip pieced, like BarbMo's is. But another winner from our k3n!!

That's beautiful Kathryn! And the strips in the borders look so good, I like that border fabric too.

Thank you - I like the idea of the monofilament where I don't want the quilting to dominate. Maybe free motion lines in some areas and the feathers in the areas I want to emphasise, ie the bluey green sections that go through diagonally on each side and the red sections that make the background diamond? I'm a fairly confident FMQer but on my 6600 (no LA sadly!) so I don't want to be twisting and turning too much this size of top! Andi yours is beautiful and makes me want to do the feathers at least! :-D
