Do you like this block. Opinions needed

Beautifully constructed block.
The first thing I "see" is the two dark brown(?) strips - in a whole quilt of blocks with them, I think they would be interesting.
In a single block, I think the two dark strips are distracting.
I think I would like it better if it the star was framed on all four sides with the dark color or not at all.
I also like to see two colors used for the center and points of that star - especially the larger ones - but that's a personal preference.

I really like it as it is, I would be happy to get this block in a fall color swap. But i can see how as a stand alone block the shadow effect to make it "float" is not as obvious as it is in a full quilt of all the same block or at least all shadowed/floating blocks. The floating/shadow look may be lost in a quilt made with all different swap blocks and just stand out like these to odd dark partial sashing strips.
