    Oh I'd hate to cut into it, but if you could do panels and pick up the colors in the borders. Oh, I don't know what I'd do. Good luck with whatever you decide.

    BQ would be a great pattern for this. leaves the feature fabric in 12" squares. purple strips & BG fabric os something light from the fabric. striking fabric !

    I would probably add just borders..But...

    If you look at the first picture there is a visable line where you could make 4 strips without losing the design. Then put sashing that has the jewel tonesbetween each row and then the boarder. Want to see what you do!!

    Make a really great top using the colors in the Egyptian fabric, maybe an ancient tile pattern, then use the Egyptian fabric for backing. Be sure to display and use the quilt where the backing will always be noticed.

    Or send it to me. Ha ha.

    WOW! I'd love to have that fabric! Where did your friend get it? I'd hate to cut it up but if you choose to, it might make a beautiful One Block Wonder. The colors are amazing! But be sure to save some of it to trim the quilt!! Lucky you!

    i could not cut it! i would make a whole cloth and stitch around the large details.
