It's one of my favorite quilts, and hope to graduate to it one day. It brings back so many memories of my Grandmother. I used to set at her feet while she hand pieced so many wedding ring quilts. Your's is ab-sew-lutely beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!11

I made my daughter and son in law the Double Wedding Ring quilt and the process was definitely love-hate. I think I was complaining aloud in my sewing room, because my daughter kept asking if I was ok. I presented them with the quilt about 4 months after the wedding and it is now on their bed. I loved the final and so did they....
Just be patient and work on it when you are not tired. It is beautiful, the colors work great, and you are doing a wonderful job. Hang in there.....It will all be worth it.

wow! I think it's fantastic - sparkly! not 'blah' at all. Few things are pretty when viewed through a veil of pain. Hope you feel better soon... :-)

p.s. @gal: thanks for the reminder about color-play - so many things to keep in mind when we are creating, eh?

I like the yellow, and I think it works very well next to the kiwi green. I think they give a sparkle to your quilt. The samey-samey-ness I think give your quilt a very nice quiet calm sense. I think it all works together nicely.

Also wanted to add I was thinking about making one someday for my daughter and son-il. Their wedding colors were chartruese (her fave) and chocolate brown (his fave) and my plan would be to have those at the intersection. I was thinking about scrapy for the rings but I may rethink. I will be looking at these to compare same patches with scrappy.

I'm doing a DWR variation that I started nearly two years ago and I only work on it when I have nothing else going on.
I think you just got tired of it, like I did, and therefore it no longer appeals to you. However, other people think it's just beautiful. You're doing a great job... I like your quilt.
