Very interesting!!! Love this series but so sad it ended, for now, with no less, a cliff hanger....

I had hoped they would let Mathew 'heal'. There was a reporter on TV and referred to the series as 'soap opera'; I resent this. Love your mat, that's the spirit.

According to a DA blog, Matthew wanted to be on stage and was quiting the show.

    (How upper class of him!)

I'm curious about this too, because when she was on 60 Minutes last week, Maggie Smith said that they were currently filming season 4. I expect it will be like the other seasons: the UK gets it starting in the fall, and North America gets it on PBS starting in January. (Of course, I got it by downloading it off the web before it aired on this side of the pond, so I was able to watch the entire season in one fell swoop over the Christmas holidays.)

I got hooked on DA also and have watched all three seasons. I had a feeling that something was going to happen when they kept flashing between Matthew driving and the family and Mary. I just kept saying Oh no Oh no somethings going to happen! I love Maggie Smith and her expressions! She cracks me up! I also read where they won't be killing off any more major characters. That's good because they already killed off 2. I cried so much when Sybil died.
I love the mug rug and you did a wonderful job on it.
