She must be popular because Dakota has an embroidery design pack just for her.

I don't know I'd make a quilt out of Maxine but I could sure see sewing machine covers, totes of all sizes, checkbook covers, and even a few fussy cut and put around my sewing room in frames. Love her boldness.

It would be fun to make a lap quilt, fussy cutting the fabric that is scattered.

It is very tempting - I have a friend who loves her!

When my daughter went off to college, I was thrilled to pick my choice of toothpaste. One day I went to brush my teeth and found that my hubby had rolled the tube (I am a scruncher). I was so mad! Not that I really cared! But after years of letting my daughter pick the toothpaste, I finally had my own (my hubby had different) - and then my hubby messed with it! I told my friend I had yelled at him "but it is MY toothpaste", when he asked what was wrong (he really was just trying to be helpful). Ever since then she and I have traded Maxine jokes becuase she just seems to say what we (normally - when we are sane, or when others don't mess with our toothpaste) - can't say.

I only have a million projects at the top of my "to do" list, but I may just have to buy the fabric at least! Just her name can make me giggle, becuase I know some of her quips by heart.

Maxine was my DH 's administrative assisant or her twin. Shirley was so much like Maxine but we all loved her dearly.

I love Maxine. She reminds me of one of my Aunts--tell it like it is.

What a great idea! I would use it for that. I also like grammatjr's idea of a wonky Maxine. Would be a great wall hanging.

I like Maxine and enjoy reading her quips. One thing about this lady (or her author) is that she is honest and tells it blunt and tells it like it is on most subjects. I probably would use her on projects (tote bag) other than quilts. The individual pictures would be kind of "busy" on the quilt patterns. As you all know, I am just a beginner and would not know how to use the cartoons.

BobbinWinder: I like your ideas. I know I will buy this fabric, but didn't think past a lap quilt. I am going to somehow use these fabrics on T-shirts and sweatshirts for myself, if I ever get around to it. But I will definitely buy it. Maxine helps me remember not to take myself too seriously.

Keep the ideas coming! Love the tote bag idea too, and the wall hanging. I am going to have soooo much fun with this fabric!
