It's quilting, we've all done a boo boo. Sometimes those boo boo's turn out to be a beautiful new technique.

Now why do you think this lady is someone who "knows"?

What about the other ladies in this post who "know" and who don't seem to feel you've done a boo boo.

You have nothing to be ashamed of. Now go forth, wrap yourself up in this quilt and feel the comfort it brings. Let your worries, and fears of it not being "perfect" drain away. That's and order.

You can salute me if you wanna:)

The quilt is beautiful! No beautiful quilt is embarrasing, nor is it a mistake

If you made that like I did my strip quilt, I cut as many of my strips as possible on the straight of grain because I was sewing across the bias and I wanted to stabilize it as much as possible.
The stripe fabric is a real wow factor! I think it looks great! :D

I always cut them straight too. Not sure what you mean because that is the way I've always seen it done. It looks great. I like your black and white sashing. Adds dimension and whimsy to your project. And I can't believe you hand quilted this whole quilt !! Good job, you should be proud, not apologetic!

Yeah, I think your quilt is fabulous! I personally cut my strips any which way I want, sometimes both directions for the same project. What ever works at the moment to get the most from my fabric for the project. It's not right or wrong it's choice and preference. Just enjoy, it's supposed to be fun!!!
