This looks so much like one of my quilts....I didn't think I had done anything 'wrong'. I love my quilt

Who died and made her the world's expert on quilts? I think it turned out fabulous and will be glad to take it off your hands if it is bothering you. Just pm me if you need my address.....lol.

Many thanks for all the kind words, but I think this quilt will never leave home. I'm new to this craft and so want to do things correctly. When someone who 'knows' indicates I've done a boo boo, it is discouraging, but educational as well. Live, quilt and learn I guess.

I really am confused now. Am I supposed to cut them on straight or crosswise (selvage to selvage)? Wouldn't it be wonderful if I did it right by accident!

True, and it especially doesn't matter if you use a foundation or paper backing!! Sheesh. Some people.
    Me too!

You need to remember that no body will know if there is mistakes unless you tell them. Now as far as your quilt, it is beautiful. You should be proud and show it off.

Most employees at JoAnn's and Hancock's don't know how to sew a button on much less anything about quilting....or fabric for that matter.
