    Embers of a Shattered Illusion

I decided to go scrappy with left over pieces from a BH MQ that I didn't use.
It will be a companion quilt for the MQ .

It would be perfect for the backing.

Very pretty! But I'm surprised you had left over blocks.

I made a smaller quilt as DH didn't like it at all. So the original MQ was made into a lap quilt to curl up in rather than the regular size.

An MQ is a term for a Mystery Quilt. It is a quilt that is created based on clues to make blocks that are given at certain time intervals ( daily, weekly, monthly) with the final unveiling of the entire quilt shown at the end of the clues. As you complete the clues, you have no idea as to the quilt outcome.

What a great idea I like it. I'm thinking maybe I can do something like that with my MQ. Thanks for the inspiration.

What a great use of those leftovers. I could see it as the back of the MQ also, but as a 2nd quilt it's great also. Love to see how you quilt this one.
