The new Wal-mart's built in our town were designed without fabric sections. There is only 2 left that have fabric. One just underwent a huge remodel and I was afraid that the fabric departments were going to be eliminated like a couple of the stores in town. The fabric dept staff told me that they were told by the higher ups that the fabric department was NOT going to be eliminated and now that the remodel is done, it is actually a bigger section now!! Thank You!!!

thanks for going and sharing the good news! Both of our Walmarts in town still carry fabric but at my mom's and sisters, they took it out. They will be happy if theirs are some that are getting it back!

did the sign say firearms too? great news. now walmart can be a one stop shop again. i've been avoiding it cause i still have to go to other stores so may as well go elsewhere all around. i did send a email to them stating why they lost my business. if they bring back my 2 "F's" i'll start shopping there again.

For those of you that live in NE Texas, particularly Longview, Wal Mart is bringing back fabric to the store on Gilmer Rd. in July. DD works there and they were told that this past week. I am glad.

Ihope the Walmart here is coming back. Best news in months. Also, firearms. Now if they would bring back layaway. Maybe-hopefully they will get back to become the old Walmart.
Thanks for sharing this news.

Now only if they would bring it back to the Canadian stores. Hate that precut stuff they have now. Never buy any of it.

I know what you mean about the pre-cuts. Generally not good quality. Thin and feels rough.... I bought a pillowcase kit and even after several washings, the fabric is still stiff and rough.

Good to hear. I hope that they get some new designs. The few stores here that kept their fabric always seem to have the same fabrics, nothing new.
