I started out at local shows and worked my way up to the State Fair. You have to realize the number of entries thru-out the US and they are only limited number of quilts they have room for.

It did take me a little while to figure out what "fading footprints" referred to.

Very nice artwork.

The animals are beautiful and it seems like you showed some of those blocks as you were painting them. Your talents are amazing. Sure to 'ribbon' at the fair.
You're right. My original post of "Fading Footprints" outlines how I did the paintings of the animals and how I made the quilt. I like to see how someone made something as well as the end product and I thought others might like it too. I usually take a lot of pictures of my projects from start to finish and that way I can show someone how I did it.

[QUOTE=sewbizgirl;7602568]Beautiful quilts... is that your wedding picture? Wow, on that one!

It is not. This is my mom/dad married on June 18, 1966. I just gave this wall hanging to my parents for their 50th about 4 weeks ago. The portrait was done in colored pencils, then I painted the background with a brown ink, then I quilted it. The blocks are machine applique from Affair of the Heart quilt by Aie Rossman. Its seemed appropriate to use those as a border.
