Little Prairie Star with FPP
This is a pillow that I made after I learned how to foundation paper piece Prairie Stars from Lorraine Olsen's book "Little Lone Star Quilts". Ms. Olsen must be a genius to have figured it out, because her method really works! I made the pillow from scraps left over from a quilt I am just now finishing. The fabrics are all from Faye Burgos' American Valor collection.
The Pillow is made really special because of the words "And crown thy good with brotherhood, From sea to shining sea". The words are especially appropriate because the pillow is for a young man soon to be a US Marine.
I bet a lot of you here can guess who embroidered the words for me, especially because she did them so perfectly. Yup! Thanks Dawn! (sewnsewer2)
The pictures show the pillow cover without the pillow form inside, since flat was easier to photograph. The photo with the Flags & Thank yous is the back, with the slip-in flap.
