    holy cow, I've been hand quilting for 20 some years and I still struggle to get stitches that small. Just fantastic!!

    Pretty quilt. The only thing I hand quilted was preprinted panels.That was about 20 years ago. Now have arthitis in my hands and couldn't if I wanted to.

    This is such a neat quilt! I am amazed at your improvement in stitches per inch (almost doubled your original!). I guess it goes to show that lots of practice will make a difference. Also, I love how you put the elephant on the fabric. Thank you for passing along that info.... I now really want to try this technique!

    Thank you, everyone. It was (deliberately!) a pretty simple project, but it definitely got me hooked. Now I am already planning my next hand quilted project. I love that I can do it after the kids are in bed and it won't keep them up like my sewing machine.
