Your quilt just takes my breath away. Your use of fabrics is so perfect. I can sense the peace and silence even though I have never been there. I love your embroidery in the foreground, it really adds to the sense of distance. I keep scrolling back to stare at your quilt some more.

Hi Barb,

Thank you for the compliment! In answer to your question; I hand painted the sky with fabric dye, then painted over that with metallic fabric paint. The foreground is made from batiks. If you are interested, I have the pattern, and hand painted fabrics, for sale at: www.LakePowellQuilts.com
