Beautiful Quilt! Beautiful stockings!! To the ones that have not gone - if you can - take a trip to DC and go and see the Evening Parade. This is put on by the USMC. It takes place on Friday evening beginning in May and runs every Friday until fall. You can go to the Marine Barracks web site and order tickets (they are free). It is truly a beautiful experience!!!!!!! I promise you it is one you won't forget. They also have The Sunset Parade on Tuesdays at the Iwo Jima Memorial. This is also free. You don't have to have ticket for this but you do need to go early and you can take chairs and a picnic if you like. Have not seen it yet myself but plan to be there in June.

Tried to cut and paste the website but if it doesn't work just type in Marine Corp Parade or Marine Barracks Washington, DC

You brought me to tears, because I bet those guys enjoyed having ANY decorations for Christmas!
Thanks from another mother who had a kid over there too!
He's home now safely and retired. J
I'm glad he is home safe and retired. Thank him for me, too!
