Lolllllllllllllllll!!! Now that sounds like something I would do when I get mad. lollllllllll. I will be getting ready to FMQ for the first time myself...and if I get puckers on my quilt.... I will do the exact same thing you did so that they lay flat instead of puckering. lollllll. My husband and I do not ever get company, so I really do not care if my quilts do not turn out great. I am estatic if it even just turns out okay, or pleasing to my OWN eye. lollllllll.
By the way, I really do like your quilt. The colors you chose actually make it feel homey and warm, probably will be the best camping blanket ever. I have not tried that pattern yet. Still nervous about HST's... but will be giving them a try soon. I also like the fact that your pinwheels are not offset by only white. I think your second quilt is awesome, and when you take it with you on those camping trips, trust me, you wont be thinking about the puckers... but more the warmth and togetherness that the quilt will make you feel.

I think you did a wonderful job on this quilt!!
Having the back stretched til it it taut but not stretched may help.
For being your second quilt, you did Good!! Don't be so hard on yourself. With each quilt, we learn knew skills and tricks. Your next one will be even easier :D:D:D
