The block is 5 inches square. After sewing into the quilt, the blocks will measure 4 1/2 inches square.

Just wanted to let you know that I used almost 15 yards in mine, but that included plain tris between the pieced ones, all the scallops and sashings. I would hate you to get half way and not be able to buy more of that beautiful blue.
