Default First FMQ

This is my first attempt at FMQ. The top was given to me by a family friend, she had chopped part of it out so I cut it down to a lap quilt size.

There are areas that I think I could have done better, but I am happy with it. I did find that my machine does need to go into the shop. After about 15 minutes of quilting the motor was getting hot. I started to think --- It has not had any TLC for over 20 years, I think its time for a check up.

I am still working on getting my binding straight and the same size on each side. If Wilma does not want the lap quilt back I am going to donate it to our local VA hospital.

Yeah for you. Keep at it. It gets easier the more FMQ you do.

It looks great to me. I admire the fact that you even attemped such a FMQ task. I would love to do the same on my machine, but I think I am afraid I will ruin a perfectly good quilt project. I know practice makes perfect but still... If you do get to donate it, it is sure to be well loved by someone.
